Éld az életed!!!

"New Day – New Hopes"
2019.10.05.

Thinking. Taking action. As a community. – Complex Theatre in Education Performances for a Thoughtful Youth

We, at Káva, believe that we live to take part in our own lives. Not just to purely exist, but to live. Thinking. Taking action. As a community.

At Káva – Theatre of the Participant, our intention is to move our participants out from the passive observer role so that they can become active, thinking participants of our performances and – moreover – of their own lives, our society. With its complex theatre in education performances, Káva doesn’t help staying alive directly, but it increases the quality of life. It develops consciousness, problem-solving, reflective thinking, the self-awareness of youngsters, the discovery of their own opportunities.

Káva works for the future. How? Students participating in our performances can experience how to discuss a current social or moral issue. This can encourage youngsters to whom  – otherwise – it would be difficult to share their opinions in front of others. We make it possible for teachers to see their students from a different perspective, in new situations when students are able to formulate thoughts that could even have an effect on their later (school) life.

We don’t offer prepared answers or thoughts. We don’t tell you what’s right or wrong. Instead, we give opportunity and new aspects for thinking, so that our participants can discover their own thoughts. That these thoughts exist and they are valuable. We encourage youngsters to express themselves and not to be ashamed to have an opinion. To discover the experience that they are able to have an influence. That their opinion counts, that they can participate. Not just in the theatre but in their own lives as well.

But we cannot do it alone! Please, help us encourage more youngsters to take part in their own lives! With your support, you help us create more complex theatre in education performances and by this, you support thinking youngsters!

Related event - "New Day – New Hopes"

2019-10-05

“New Day – New Hopes” is a new community fundraising event the central element of which is a walk starting late at night and finishing at sunrise. The main participants of the morning walk are fundraising Ambassadors who, through their participation in the event, collect funds for a Good Cause of their choosing in their own circle of friends.

The concept and the spirit of the event are built around two thoughts: the dawn after the night, the sunrise, which symbolizes hope and optimism in the future and the common walk that reflects the cooperation between individuals and organizations. All of this without any political overtones, the event is solely focused on the activities of NGOs and on fundraising.

The morning walk will take place on 5. Octobre 2019 (Saturday), its planned route will be from the Széll Kálmán square to the top of the Gellért Hill (about 3.5 km). The planned departure time is 5:00, the sun rises at 6:47, and the program ends with a common breakfast after sunrise.

" There was never a night or a problem that could defeat sunrise or hope."
(Bernard Williams)
